ReStore of the Year: Celebrating a Mission-Driven Milestone

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville recognized by Habitat Tennessee for excellence and impact

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville is proud to announce that we have been named 2026 ReStore of the Year by Habitat for Humanity of Tennessee.

The honor was presented during the Habitat Tennessee State Impact Awards Dinner on July 27 and recognizes the outstanding work of our ReStore team in advancing Habitat’s mission through innovation, growth and community engagement.

More Than a Store

Since opening our first ReStore in 2004, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville has grown its ReStore operations into a network of three locations serving Middle Tennessee. Today, our Nashville, Dickson and Lebanon ReStores offer more than 75,000 square feet of showroom space filled with donated home improvement materials, furniture, appliances and unique treasures.

But ReStores are about more than great finds. Every donation, purchase and volunteer hour helps support Habitat’s mission of creating affordable homeownership opportunities for local people.

A Year of Record Growth and Innovation

The ReStore of the Year award reflects more than two decades of intentional growth and an ongoing commitment to finding new ways to increase impact across Middle Tennessee.

In 2026, Habitat of Greater Nashville’s ReStores achieved several significant milestones, including:

• A 50% increase in corporate donations
• A 200% increase in deconstruction projects
• A landmark downtown Nashville partnership that recovered more than 5,000 donated items while generating critical funding for affordable homeownership
• Expanded collaboration and inventory sharing across our Middle Tennessee ReStore network

These achievements helped increase funding for Habitat’s mission while keeping valuable materials out of local landfills and putting them back into the hands of shoppers and homeowners.

A Team Effort

This recognition belongs to the dedicated ReStore staff members who work tirelessly every day to serve customers, process donations and create welcoming shopping experiences across all three locations.

It also belongs to the volunteers, donors, shoppers, corporate partners and supporters whose generosity fuels our work and makes our success possible.

Whether donating a couch, volunteering during a deconstruction project, shopping for home improvement materials or partnering with us through a corporate donation, every member of the community plays a role in helping create more affordable homeownership opportunities.
