Pope Leo Village Nashville
“In that service to others we may find that coming together in friendship, building up community, we too can find true meaning in our lives.” —Pope Leo XIV
Inspired by Pope Leo XIV’s commitment to serving others, peace, and unity, an anonymous donor has generously stepped forward to rally Greater Nashville's youth—alongside volunteers from all walks of life—to construct eight affordable Habitat homes in Antioch's Bella Terra community.
The Pope Leo Village is you—youth groups, faith communities, friends, and neighbors joining side by side to do essential work, crafting safe and welcoming homes where families can grow and thrive.

Your gift builds more than homes—it builds a future.
Your financial support helps bring Pope Leo Village to life—an initiative of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville. With your generosity, eight families will experience the life-changing stability of affordable homeownership, and a new community will rise in Antioch’s Bella Terra neighborhood.
We’re grateful for the momentum already underway, but we still need the support of our local community to make this vision a reality.
Pope Leo Village Campaign Launches in Antioch
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville is proud to announce the launch of the Pope Leo Village campaign, a transformative initiative that will bring eight quality, affordable homes to life in the upcoming Bella Terra community in Antioch. This effort is part of a nationwide movement inspired by Pope Leo’s enduring message of compassion, dignity, and service.
Set within Habitat’s ambitious 53-home plan for Bella Terra, the Pope Leo Village homes will offer affordable homeownership opportunities to families earning less than 80% of the area median income. Construction is slated to begin in spring 2026, with local youth assembling wall panels—a hands-on experience that connects the next generation to the mission of service. The main building phase will follow in fall 2026, with home dedications planned for early 2027.
“This campaign is about more than building homes — it’s about building hope,” said Danny Herron, president and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville. “We’re honored to stand alongside other Habitat affiliates across the country in this shared mission to uplift communities through affordable homeownership.”
Honoring Pope Leo’s Legacy
Pope Leo Village is being built in honor of Pope Leo and his lifelong commitment to social justice. His words continue to inspire the campaign’s mission:
“In that service to others we may find that coming together in friendship, building up community, we too can find true meaning in our lives.”
Through this build, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville seeks to embody that spirit — bringing people together to create lasting change and meaningful connections.
Faith and Youth Involvement
The Pope Leo Village campaign will actively engage local schools, colleges, universities, parishes, and community members. Youth volunteers will play a central role in both construction and storytelling, helping to amplify the campaign’s message of unity and service.
