We partnered with Trinity-Haynes Neighborhood Coalition, Metro Parks, Metro Council Woman Kyonzte Toombs, and the Parkwood Community Club volunteer board and funders to bring this vision to life. Habitat has been building in North Nashville for more than 25 years and these initiatives combined represent a $12 million investment in this under resourced community in District 2Habitat has raised $1.7 million of funding for the Parkwood ballfields as part of Phase I. Construction on the ballfields is slated to begin in 2024. Habitat will be installing the north entrance to the proposed 59-acre Metro park, which adjoins Parkwood ballfields, as part of the community revitalization. The park and construction of 26 Habitat homes is slated for 2025. We are looking for a champion for Phase II.
