At Habitat of Greater Nashville, we work together to empower families daily. The sustainability of our organization is critical so we can continue to partner with those in need to build strength, stability and self-reliance through homeownership. The Crew makes this work possible.
The Crew is a passionate group of monthly givers who are making a difference in Nashville, Dickson, Cheatham, Robertson and Wilson Counties. They are people from all walks of life who believe, like we do, that everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to live.
Through their combined generosity, The Crew’s monthly gifts provide a reliable stream of support that is put to work immediately to help build affordable homes and improve the lives of families right here in our community.
Hope Builders
Hope Builders are Habitat donors whose charity is matched by the kindness of their hearts. They are the overachievers who know that giving big helps build more affordable houses, making the dream of homeownership a reality for even more families.
Hope Builders give generously to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville’s affordable housing mission. Through annual gifts of $1,000 or more, Hope Builders are heavily invested in our community, and know that their commitment makes a big difference for families right here in the Nashville region.
What your gift can do: Through donations of $1,000 or more each year, Hope Builders’ financial support creates permanent, life changing impact for families right here in Nashville. Here are ways that Hope Builders fund our mission.

Qualified Charitable Distribution
Just like donating via cash or check, giving from your IRA is an immediate and impactful way to support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville — but unlike a cash gift, it helps you save on your taxes. Your QCD must be made directly to the non-profit to be excluded from your taxable income. If you are 70 ½ or older with a traditional IRA, you’re eligible to donate directly from your IRA and it will count towards your required minimum distribution (RMD). RMDs are the amount of money IRA account holders must remove from their IRA each year. If you do not take these funds out of your account, you will be taxed heavily on the remaining amount. If you take the funds out of your account, they will be subject to regular state and federal income taxes. If you are 72 years old or older, you must take the RMD.

Donate Household Items – When upgrading your home or office, give the Habitat ReStore your gently used home furnishings, appliances, building materials and more. Your donation also helps the environment by keeping perfectly good merchandise out of the landfill.
Employer Matching – Thousands of companies, small and large, have matching gift programs which double or even triple individual, tax-deductible contributions made by their employees.
