To date, Habitat of Greater Nashville has built, recycled, or renovated over 1,960 homes, over 800 locally, and has served more than 2,600 family members including more than 1,700 children. Habitat of Greater Nashville was named the 21st largest residential builder in Middle Tennessee and is ranked 11th of more than 1,300 national Habitat affiliates in number of new house builds. Habitat of Greater Nashville builds and renovates between 35-50 houses a year in Davidson, Wilson, Dickson and Cheatham counties.
Sponsors, volunteers and partner families work on new construction homes and Habitat builds in 8-day cycles, usually on weekends, completing each home in four weeks. Habitat of Greater Nashville is commited to building 100 percent ENERGY STAR® homes and has won seven consecutive ENERGY STAR® awards for sustainable building practices for building energy efficient homes.
